FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – October 28, 2002
Boston, MA. Boston-based medical software developer Computer Trust Corporation, developer of the WinSURGE anatomic pathology software package, announced today that Memorial Health University Medical Center (Savannah, GA) has entered into a definitive agreement for a significant upgrade to the software developer’s WinSURGE anatomic pathology software package. The medical center’s prior anatomic pathology system was the Traditional SURGE, also developed by Computer Trust Corporation.
Dr. William Check, Chief of Pathology at Memorial offered: “WinSURGE gives us new imaging and graphical capabilities, the familiarity and ease of a Windows-based program, and conforms completely to our existing laboratory work flow. This will enable our referring physicians and clients to benefit from improved report distribution capabilities, faster turnaround time, and image-reporting.”
“We are delighted with this opportunity to develop this key relationship and expand our service to Memorial Health,” added Dr. David Liberman, president and CEO of Computer Trust Corporation. “Upgrades like this are a real validation of our company’s strategy to foster key relationships by providing a smooth upgrade path to our more enhanced products. This approach allows customers to add multi-media functionality, web reporting, and enterprise capabilities, without losing current functionality or the investment in prior training. This translates into significant benefits throughout the work flow—from accession and transcription to electronic sign-out and billing—via an upgrade path that is especially manageable, quick, and affordable.
